1. How Elephate.ai uses artificial intelligence

Elephate.ai uses artificial intelligence (AI) to accelerate and improve the estimation process for installation companies. Our AI models are specifically trained on installation engineering documents, specifications, drawings and notes of information. The goal is to support estimators in their work, not to replace them.

2. Data processing and STABU standards

When you upload documents to Elephate.ai, they are processed by our AI models. The system extracts relevant data such as quantities, material specifications and dimensions. All components are automatically categorised according to the STABU system, the standard for the Dutch construction sector.

The AI generates estimates based on your company data, standard calculation methods and your own configurations. Every estimate includes a full audit trail, so you can see exactly how the result was produced.

3. Human-in-the-loop approach

Elephate.ai maintains a strict human-in-the-loop approach. This means that:

• AI-generated estimates are always presented for review by a human expert before they become final.
• The system shows confidence scores per category, so the estimator knows where extra attention is needed.
• Corrections by users are used to continuously improve the system, exclusively within your own company environment.
• The final responsibility for every estimate always lies with the user.

4. Data security and privacy

We take the security of your data very seriously:

• All data is stored encrypted and transmitted via SSL/TLS.
• Your documents and estimates are not shared with other users or third parties.
• Your data is not used to train AI models for other customers.
• All data is stored within the European Union, in compliance with GDPR.
• We use OAuth2 authentication via Auth0 for secure access.
